It's hard to believe that we are already in December and the holidays are right around the corner. During this time of year, with all that's going on I believe it's the perfect time to bring to you a course titled "Coping, Healing, and Finding Peace Through Mindfulness." We have a vast variety of resources available to you and your family/friends. Please feel free to share with everyone you know.
Just a reminder the holiday photos shoots begin this weekend for those interested. The attached image has more information. Thanks! Have a great weekend!
Good Morning, the Class of 2023 will be hosting a bingo on Thursday, December 22nd at the MES Gym right after the light parade. They will also be selling raffle tickets for a PS5, winner to be announced at the bingo. See the flyers attached. Let's support our Seniors! Thank you!
Good Evening! We are so excited to announce that we are launching a brand new communication tool. It is called "Rooms!" Rooms will appear on your Mountainair Public School app! Families will simply sign in and have complete access to your child(ren) and their teachers! This line of communication protects staff, students and families. This is a great way to insure professional boundaries are being maintained. At any time, I can log in a monitor communication. Tomorrow, in your email, you will receive an invitation to sign up. As soon as all parent accounts are established, the "Rooms" site will go live. We are excited to offer an app that not only keeps you informed but will also act as a much needed direct line of communication. I will send out another message tomorrow after the invitations have been sent out. If your email is not up to date it is very important that it is corrected in the morning.
Please join us tonight for our monthly board meeting at 6 pm. If you would like to address the Board, please call Kathy at (505) 847-2333 prior to the meeting to get on the agenda.

Happy Tuesday! This message is to inform you that we have a new phone system throughout the District. The phone number that everyone will have to use when trying to reach any of the school sites or Central office is (505)847-2333. Please update your contact information. Sorry for the confusion.
Good Afternoon,
As part of our Safe Schools plan, tomorrow we will be practicing room by room lock down and fortification training. Routine practice is important so that kids' know what to do in case of an emergency, they can also ask questions, etc. Conducting our training will be a certified trainer that works for Poms & Associates. Our trainer is a retired APD officer that we use quite frequently to train staff. We will take great care while training our kids tomorrow. If you have questions, please call Ms. Apodaca (505)435-4941.
